- Description
- This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Lewis, Washington intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Basic Ordering Agreement to Fort Lewis Billeting Fund for On Post Lodging. This requirement is Subject to Availability of Funds. Description: The contractor shall provide DoD personnel on post lodging facilities to billet DoD personnel on travel orders for training within the confines of the Army cantonment areas of Fort Lewis and Yakima Training Center within the state of Washington. The contractor shall deliver a combination of lodging facilities consisting of, but not limited to, DVQ, VOQ, suites, single occupancy rooms and cabins. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (2) (i), supplies or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals. Inquiries should be directed no later than 12:00:00 PM (PST) 6 March 2009, via email, referencing W911S8-09-R-0012, to Ms. Wanda Reed, Contract Specialist, wanda.reed@us.army.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice, whether or not the Government initially determines that, another firm is fully qualified to fulfill the U.S. Army requirement. Note: If documents are sent via email, the contractor will be responsible for validating Government receipt by calling the Contract Specialist at (253) 966-3497. No solicitation is available and telephone request for information will not be honored.
