- Description
- Rental of two fully maintained and piloted helicopters, MD500 or equal, for use by the Department of the Interior, National Park Service in Alaska. These helicopters will be used to support the National Park Service in Denali National Park and Yukon-Charley Rivers National Park. The helicopter supporting Yukon-Charley National Park will be based in Fairbanks, Alaska for a 75 day exclusive use period beginning May 18, 2009. The helicopter supporting Denali National Park will be based at Denali Park, Alaska for a 90 day exclusive use period beginning May 26, 2009. Missions will include search and rescue, natural resource missions, fire management and related activites directed by the Government. Contract performance period is one year with option to renew for an additional 4 years. Contractor is required to be certified under 14 CFR and Chapter 135, Air Taxi Operators and Commercial Operators. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is February 27, 2009 with a projected closing date of March 24, 2009. It is a requirement that the successful awardee be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
