- Description
- This requirement is for surface preparation and painting of a tainter gate, leaf gate, side seals and seal between leaf gate and tainter gate, trunnion arms and related structure on both sides of Gate 2 on Woods Reservoir Dam at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The estimated magnitude of this work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The work must be completed within 120 calendar days. Gate downtime shall be kept to a minimum. Due to restrictions imposed by the bat habitat, painting shall be done between October 1 and March 31. All information required for submission of a bid will be identified in the Invitation for Bid (IFB). The anticipated issue date of this solicitation is on or about 17 March 2009. Interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004. CCR can be accessed at https://www.bpn.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. The IFB will be issued electronically and may be accessed and downloaded at the Fed Biz Opps ( www.fbo.gov ) website. NO HARD COPIES will be provided by the issuing office. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon intrested parties to review this site frequently for updates or amendments to any and all documents. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered by this Agency. Bid submission due date will be available in the IFB. Funds are not currently available. Award as a result of the solicitation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the Government until funds are made available.
