Description
The VA Midwest Health Care Network (VISN 23) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Document Storage Systems, Inc., 12575 US Highway 1, Suite 200, Juno Beach, FL 33408-2478 to provide the Databridge Software interface system. The Databridge product that Document Storage Systems, Inc (DSS) offers is the only product and service support that has demonstrated: oThe ability to communicate bi-directionally between VistA, CPRS, Solution Analytics Healthcare Analytics System, commercial off the shelf ICU-CIS systems and commercial off the shelf ARK systems. oA software interface that filters information from VistA/CPRS to your commercial Clinical Information System/Anesthesia Record Keeping (CIS/ARK) system successfully integrating the systems together using various communication technologies including HL7 v2.4 and XML, RPC broker protocols. oA method for an image of the recorded anesthesia/ICU case saved as a PDF file (where it is appropriate) to be stored in the VistA modules and/or VistA Imaging systems. oExpert understanding of VistA data rules. oHas routines that are written in the VA allocated VEJD, DSI, DSIH, DSIC namespaces, which assures DSS routines will not conflict with nationally distributed or locally developed software. oWrites programs that integrate with VistA using well- defined FileMan Application Programming Interfaces (API's). This is the VA supported standard method of integrating with VistA using Remote Procedure Calls (RPC). oDoes not require VA development resources. The interface is a necessary component for a successful CIS and ARK. The VA needs to be able to do the following: Procure an interface for COTS CIS and ARK vendors to VistA that has the following functionality: oUser Authentication (Security) oPatient Selection/Registration in CIS oPatient Status Information oPatient Information oAnalytic Database Integration oCCOW This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 541511. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Minneapolis VA Medical Center, VISN 23, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55406 or via e-mail to suzanne.angelo@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Minneapolis VAMC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Document Storage Systems, Inc.
