This is a REPOSTING of a previous RFP, W911XK-09-R-0001. The US Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District issues a Request for Proposals for a construction project that shall include the substantial demolition and renovation of existing spaces in Building 111, Wing A, North, 2nd Floor, of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. The project involves construction of a new Operating Suite consisting of 5 sizable surgical operating rooms, an establishment of a sterile supply core, upgrading the surgical suite to state of the art methods of surgical care with respect to patient flow, infection control, materials flow, and support spaces. The work will be completed in various phases to keep some of the existing operating rooms in service at all times until construction of the new suite is completed. The estimated construction cost is between $1 million and $5 million. This project is set-aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 236220, which has a small business size standard of $33,500,000. Questions about this RFP are received at LRE-Quotes@usace.army.mil in accordance with the instructions in the RFP document. The due date for receipt of questions is extended to Thursday, 12 February, 2009.
