- The Army Contracting Agency, Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) at the Pentagon, on behalf of the Office of the U.S. Army Center of Military History intends to issue a solicitation for art conservation treatment services for selected artworks and accompanying frames required from the U.S. Army Art Collection. The artwork in the Army Art Collection encompasses the diversity of the medium to include artwork executed in oils, acrylics, watercolors; artwork executed on canvas, paper, and various other substrates such a masonite, and wood. This requirement will be full and open and unrestricted. Interested businesses that are certified and qualified as a business concern in NAICS code 711510 with a size standard of $7.0 million will be considered for award. Under this requirement, the contractor shall conduct an examination and condition assessment of artwork, and provide project management of all technical and administrative tasks associated with the planning, initiation, execution and completion/termination of art conservation projects. An Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract is contemplated. The period of performance is one (1) base year of twelve (12) months and four (4) option years of twelve (12) months each, for a maximum contract period of performance of not more than five (5) years total. The place of performance will be at the contractors facility. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov. This will be an electronic solicitation release. Interested small businesses may download a copy of the solicitation at www.fbo.gov or CCE website http://cce.hqda.pentagon.mil/rfp/rfp_1.asp, reference W91WAW-09-R-0026. No hard copies will be mailed. A written Request for Proposals (RFP) will be posted on or about March 3, 2009 for download on the FedBizOpps website Title: Art Conservation. No offers are being requested at this time. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. All amendments to the solicitation will be posted to this FedBizOpps website. Contractors are cautioned to check this website for amendments. No solicitation mailing list will be complied. The contractor is responsible for all costs for producing and mailing their proposal.
