- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a contract for the repair of the Ice and Trash Sluice Gates at The Dalles Dam Project located on the Columbia River. The contract work will include picking up the Ice and Trash Sluice Gates from the Dam site and using all contractor furnished equipment, performing all necessary repair work offsite as stated in the contract, and then delivering all the gates back to the Dam. The repair work will consist of removing all of the sluice gates to include the fabrication, inspection, and delivery of one Ice and Trash Sluice Gate to replace the removed gate, with the option of a second sluice gate to function as a spare, and up to two Hoist Extensions. Downloading of the package will be available either FedBizOpps.gov (https://www.fbo.gov/) and/or Army Single Face to Industry (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/default.cfm). Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced pages for any update(s) to the notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of internet connectivity or for an offerors inability to access the document posted at the referenced website(s). The Solicitation Package will be available for download on or about 12 March 2009 and quotes due on or about 27 March 2009 by 4:00 pm pacific standard time. Faxed or emailed copies of quotes WILL NOT be accepted. This procurement is restricted and open to all small business interested firms. In order for contractors to conduct business with our agency, which is apart of the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
