- Head Quarters Air Combat Command, Acquisition Management and Integration Center (HQ ACC/AMIC), Langley AFB VA, intends to award a non-competitive, sole source, commercial purchase order to CommVault for CommVault Galaxy Software Maintenance Support for existing CommVault software utilized by ACC bases and associate tenant units. CommVault is the original software manufacturer and as such, is in the sole position to extend the software support maintenance agreement of its software agents. The software maintenance not only provides agents on backup devices but also provides premier coverage with 24x7 support required for mission critical systems on the ACC Network Enterprises, which supports all 15 ACC bases and associated tenant units. The CommVault software is proprietary to CommVault and was purchased by ACC during earlier acquisitions over 3 years ago. ACC now owns the software which requires annual maintenance renewal support for software upgrades and maintenance. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is authorized IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). A sole source justification and approval document is attached to this synopsis. No solicitation document exists. Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement via email to Mr. Tay Ashford at tay.ashford@langley.af.mil before 2:00pm EST, 26 Feb 09. Alternate POC is Ms. Joy de Lande; email: joy.delande@langley.af.mil. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
