Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Infantry Combat Equipment Program Office, Quantico, VA, requires a Running Suit using commercial market fabrics that will allow Marines to be comfortable and engate in physical training in all types of weather. The suit will comprise of a jacket and matching pants suitable for Marines to wear while training or on liberty. The design must be compatible with other PT uniform items that comprise the complete PT uniform system currently in the sea bag (which include, but not included in this procurement: synthetic olive drab t-shirt, olive drab physical training shorts, olive drab cottom sweatshirt and seatpants). Running Suits must be capable of wicking moisture, use lightweight materials, water resistant and provide improved durability properties in material and in design features. The requirement is for 64,000 sets (jacket and pants)during the basic contract period (no option periods). This procurement is being issues unr! estricted using other than full and open competition. This is an interim procurement to complete initial field requirement. Follow-on procurement will be competitive. Request for Proposal, M67854-09-R-3024, will be posted on the internet at the Federal Business Opportunities website located at the following address: http://www.fedbizops.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. The on-line version of the RFP will include all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. No electronic submissions of proposals will be accepted. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued on or about 11 March 2009. Please hold questions until the solicitation has been issued. All questions shall be submitted in writing to ruth.gullette.ctr@usmc.mil. NO PHONE CALLS. All items, materials, and components thereof submitted shall be i! n full compliance with the Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C. 2533a), as modified in the National Defense Authorization Act for 2003 (Public Law 109-163) signed 6 January 2006.
