- THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR CERTIFIED HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The Presoliciation Notice posted on January 28, 2009 is amended as follows: Bid Opening date is changed from March 17, 2009 to April 8, 2009. It is anticipated that the soliciation documents will be available on March 9, 2009. SOURCES SOUGHT FOR HUBZONE, SDVOSB AND SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS FOR HSCG82-09-B-3WCA32 The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concern, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern (SDVOSB), or Small Business Concerns. Estimated construction price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance period is 60 calendar days. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) 2007 code is 237990. The small business size standard is $33.5 M. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The project work location is at U.S. Coast Guard Station Venice, Plaquemines County, Louisiana. The project work includes, but not limited, to providing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and tools to dredge, remove and dispose of material from the boat basin at USCG Station Venice, Louisiana. Dredge sediments shall be placed in a pond, across Tiger Pass, to develop habitat for emergent grasses. The estimated quantity of material to be removed within the specified limits, including side slopes, is 6,196 cubic yards. This estimate is based upon hydrographic survey performed in August 2008. The solicitation in its entirety and any amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fbo.gov under the above solicitation number. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be issued as a Small Business set aside. However, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HubZone certified or 19.1404, if your firm is SDVOSB and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to Ada.M.Hoggard@uscg.mil with “Sources Sought for Solicitation Number HSCG82-09-B-3WCA32” in the subject line or by fax at (305)-278-6696. Questions may be referred to Ada Hoggard at (305) 278-6724. Please reference the above solicitation number in all correspondence pertaining to this project. or by fax at (305)-278-6696. In the response please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; (c) past performance references with points of contact and phone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. Your response is required by December 29, 2008. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a small business set-aside. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns and SDVOSBs by the close of business December 29, 2008, this solicitation will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside basis without further notice. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone or SDVOSB small business set aside, or a Small Business set aside, will be posted on the FedBizOps website at http://www.fbo.gov/.
