Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL intends to procure on an other than full and open basis, the following service: Instructor Services for Navy Culinary Courses (Galley Watch Captain, CIN: A-800-0030), Qty: 3 each (EST) at Pearl Harbor Fleet Concentration Area (FCA) Hawaii. This requirement will be an extension of the current contract and therefore SOLE SOURCED to: University of Hawaii Community Colleges, 2530 Dole Street, SAK D-200, Honolulu HI 96822-2309. No follow-on contract will be awarded, as there will be no requirement for this training after FY10. The extension will be for a period not to exceed one (1) year, consisting of three (3) course convenings to take place throughout fiscal year 2010 (1 October 2009 – 30 September 2010). The contractor shall be required to provide labor, facilities (within 45 minutes drive time of Pearl Harbor FCA) and supplies necessary to administer culinary training in accordance with Government provided curriculum. Course convenings consist of 20 training days each. Any firms believing they can provide this training may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the training and without causing an interruption of services. The firm’s response should also illustrate how it can overcome start-up costs for the minimal number of convenings for the final year of contractor provided training at this location.
