The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS), is in need of a Contractor that can provide all materials, tools, and supervision for the painting of specified interior office spaces at the Weather Forecast Office (WFO) located at 104 Airport Road, Dodge City, KS 67801. DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall repair and paint all areas described below: WORK TO BE PERFORMED: a. Repair and Paint all areas described below: 1. Waiting Area/Administrative Assistant Area Walls 2. Vault Room Walls, three filing cabinets on North wall will not be moved. Corner needs repair. 3. Meteorologist In Charge (MIC) Office Walls 4. Corridor Walls, soffit and columns in operations area, back hallway, and back door vestibule. Since back door vestibule has much abuse, will take two coats in this area. 5. Operations Area East Wall, bookshelves will not be moved. 6. Equipment Room, AWIPS rack/CRS rack/ASOS rack will not be moved. Change paint to match rest of office walls. This room will take at least two coats. 7. WCM/Training Room Walls, bookcases on North wall will not be moved. 8. All metal door jams in the subject area with previous color. When painting door jam in vault room, paint the front and back of vault door. 9. Outside doors with previous color. Must sand and prime A. Three doors and trim on generator/upper air building. B. Three doors on East side of main building. C. Door and trim on electronic shop, change this color to match generator and main building paint color. D. Outside window trim on electronic shop, rusting needs repaired, change this color to match generator and main building paint color. 10. Repair wallpaper in Kitchen on South wall. Kill mold, prime, and glue back in place. PRODUCTS TO BE USED: General: Provide only materials that are new and of the type and quality consistent with sources such as Benjamin Moore, Pratt and Lambert and/or Sherwin Williams. Only products consistent with these sources top of the line paints and primers will be acceptable. The performance period for this project will be 60 days for the date the Notice to Proceed is issued. Any business capable of completing this project is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 calendar days after publication of this notice. The NAICS code for this action is 238320. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition Procedures. The Central Region Acquisitions Division requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
