- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (CSS) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Request for Quotes (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued under FAR 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures as a Brand Name or Equal per FAR 52.211-6. It is strongly advised that you review FAR Clause 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999) for information regarding what must be included with your quote if you are submitting an equal to offer. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-29, effective 19 Jan 2009 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARs), 1998 edition, Current to DCN 20090115. It is anticipated that payment will be made by Government Visa Credit Card. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333315 with a size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation contains one (1) Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 - Quantity 5 ea Eyesafe Rangefinder Unit to include the following: Housing, 1 Hz Pulse Rate, + Meter Range Resolution, RS-232 Interface Option, Shots Counter, Sighting Telescope, 18-months warranty, Acceptance Test Report and Manual. Delivery, acceptance and FOB point is the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground in Yuma, AZ 85365. Arizona vendors are to include the Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax. All offers shall include any applicable freight charges. This solicitation is being issued as an RFQ. Offers shall be clearly marked with RFQ referencing number # W9124R-09-T-1023 and emailed to the point of contact listed below no later than 02 March 2009 at 14:00 P.M. Mountain Standard Time (MST). The specifications and details regarding this request for quotation will be listed under the YPG Contracting website at: http://www.yuma.army.mil/site_contracting.asp. Offers that fail to furnish required representations or technical information as required by FAR Clause 52.212-1 cited below or reject the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be excluded from consideration.
