- This Invitation for Bid is for an AML Emergency Reclamation project sponsored by the Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation & Enforcement Appalachia Team in Ashland, KY. Proposed reclamation involves the construction of a temporary barricade, clearing of rock, boulders and other debris from a highwall and house-seat bench, the installation of wet seals in underground mine portals(s), the construction of a barricade wall at the proposed new residence location and the restoration of all disturbed areas. A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Prospective bidders are to meet at the Hardees Restaurant, off Rt. 15 south of Hazard, Perry County, KY. Sealed bids are due to OSM by 3:00 p.m. on March 5, 2009.
