- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5). The Department of the Air Force, 37th Contracting Squadron, Lackland AFB, TX, is seeking sources to perform services for engine operational checks/testing of TF-39 engines. This notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Government is not liable for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. The purpose of this request for information is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform engine operational testing on TF-39 engines to include pre-maintenance runs, fan balance trim runs, oil consumption runs, after maintenance performance runs, and preservation runs. Multiple runs are to be accomplished daily and a serviceable adapter shall be used on all test cell engines approved only by military specifications. JP8 jet engine fuel is the only type of fuel authorized for these engines. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 488190 and the SIC Code is 4581. All potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database with a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code) and should have completed an electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with the required CCR database. Responses should contain company name, address, point of contact, cage code, phone number, fax number, DUNS number, and Tax ID number. Interested sources shall submit their responses to 37th Contracting Squadron/LGCBA, Attn: Lois Ward, 1655 Selfridge Ave., Lackland AFB, TX 78236-5253. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 Noon 27 February 2009.
