- Wiesbaden Contracting Center intends to solicit a firm fixed price requirements type contract for non-personal services for Maintenance and repair and training services for the Mobile Search Large Vehicle Inspection System (LVIS) x-ray system. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received before closing date and time of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Performance shall be within the European Command area of responsibility, which includes but is not limited to Germany. The resulting contract will be for one base year, plus two one year options. It is our intent to post the DRAFT solicitation in ASFI and the Wiesbaden Contracting Center Home Page on 20 Feb 09. The estimated date for closing for the solicitation is 11 Mar 09; but will be specified in the solicitation. All offers shall be in the English language.
