- Description
- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Hi-Techniques, Inc, 2515 Frazier Ave, Madison, WI 53713-1505. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Hi Techniques, Inc. is the only known source that offers a meDAQ data acquisition system and is capable of meeting the Governments requirement. The meDAQ has been identified as being the best suited system for the types of blast data recording required within the Impact and Explosion Effect Branch and Geotechnical Structures Laboratory. Years of experience with these systems have shown that they are ideally suited to our demanding data recording needs in terms of functionality, ruggedness, and reliability. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. CST on February 23, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
