Description
This is not a request for proposal, quotation, or invitation to bid notice. For the purposes of this sources sought notice, a SOW is not available. The request for information is for planning purposes only. No solicitation exists and one is not planned for at this time. PEO-STRI, Orlando, is conducting market research for a preliminary determination of industry interest and capability to provide non-personal support services for annual Operations and Maintenance of two UH-1 simulators in Colombia. The two devices are collocated in the same building in Melgar, Colombia. Each is a two cabin device. One is the standard 2B24 Full Motion Simulator, without visuals. The other is a 2B24, modified to Huey II configuration, with visuals. No solicitation exists and one is not planned for at this time. The request for information is for planning purposes only and respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Any subsequent contract type and period of performance are to-be-determined; however the base period is likely to be for two years. The interested parties will base their response on the information contained herein. The contractor will provide labor, parts and materials to operate and maintain the devices. Responses to this notice will include a narrative identifying the scope of the past and present (within the last 3 years) relevant experience on similar contracts (including dollar value, complexity and point of contact), and a description of capabilities to perform the subject effort. Additionally, interested parties shall submit a rough order of magnitude (ROM) identifying the types of labor categories and burdened rates required to perform the work for an initial two year period. All interested parties shall specify the current business size of their company. Both small and large businesses are encouraged to reply to this Sources Sought Notice. Brevity of extraneous information is desired. Responses must be received by close of business (4PM EST) March 06, 2009. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any products, or for the Government to pay for the information received. No solicitation exists and one is not planned for at this time. No additional information is available other than that which has been provided above.
