Description
NSN(s): 4820-01-256-7207. Item Description: Valve, Check. In accordance with Bell Helicopter (CAGE 97499) Source Controlled Drawing Number 209-373-002, P/N 209-373-002-101. Approved source is Sweeney Engineering Corp. (CAGE 96736) P/N 14-1400-2. Note: The cited drawing is a Source Controlled drawing and as of the date of this solicitation, only the sources cited on the drawing have been approved. Even though sources and approved part numbers are provided, the items furnished must meet the requirements of the cited drawing. Offerors who are interested in qualifying their product for the purpose of future acquisition must contact the cognizant Design Activity specified on the source controlled drawing. Also, may include additional approved sources that have not been reflected on the drawing at this time. Quantity: 56. Unit of Issue: EA. Destination Information: New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. Delivery Schedule: 600 days. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. The following notes apply: #23. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation. #26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of 3-9-09. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources are: Bell Helicopter Textron (97499) and Sweeney Engineering (96736). While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
