Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-07-G-0008 with the Bell Boeing Joint Program Office on an other than full and open competitive basis. The order will cover all the Non Recuring engineering efforts and reccuring efforts required to develop and install an improved Nose Landing Gear Mechanism into both production and fieled V-22 Aircraft. GENERAL INFORMATION: Bell Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance and support characteristics of the aircraft.
