CONTRACT INFORMATION: The Savannah District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is announcing a Small Business Conference targeting Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Woman Owned Business (WOB), and HUBZone Business entities intending to respond to an upcoming solicitation for Construction Management Services supporting Savannah District requirements. Firms not meeting the criteria of the targeted small business categories but capable of providing design, construction, environmental services, and/or civil engineering services to the government are also welcome to attend. This announcement is for firms operating in the South Atlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers area of responsibility which includes the states of GA, SC, NC, FL, AL, KY, and TN. ****2. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Interested firms desiring to participate in this conference must respond to the Conference POC, Ms. Ashley Renfro, by email at ashley.c.renfro@us.army.mil by March 11, 2009. Please respond with your firm's name, your firm's representative(s), complete address, telephone number, and SDVOSB, WOB, or HUBZone eligibility status. Notice of your firm's desire to present a briefing is requested at this time as well (see Paragraph 3 "Conference Details" for more information). ****3. CONFERENCE DETAILS: This conference is scheduled for March 18, 2009. Request conference attendees arrive by NLT 0830. This event will be held from 0900-1645 at the COASTAL GEORGIA CENTER: 305 Fahm Street, Savannah, GA 31401. REGISTRATION is from 0800-0900. During this conference Savannah District's source selection process, acquisition strategy, and upcoming projects will be discussed. Representatives from the Program Management, Contracting, Engineering, Small Business, and Construction Offices of the Savannah District, Corps of Engineers will be available to address specific questions. Prior submission of questions for the panel may be submitted BY EMAIL with the SUBJECT line: "PANEL DISCUSSION QUESTIONS" and are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Questions for the panel must be received by COB, 11 March 2009 by Ms. Ashley Renfro for consideration. Questions submitted will be answered the day of the event. Selected firms from the targeted small business categories will be afforded the opportunity to make a short capabilities presentation. Presenters will be allotted FIFTEEN MINUTES to outline company's capabilities and unique attributes. AV/Technical equipment, such as a projector for PowerPoint, will be provided for presenters' use. Ms. Ashley Renfro will coordinate and assign blocks of time for presentations. In anticipation of an overabundance of firms requesting an opportunity to brief capabilities, the Corps of Engineers is limiting the opportunity to present briefings to the targeted small business categories of SDVOSB, WOB, or HUBZone businesses ONLY. ****4. PERSONAL VISITS for the purpose of DISCUSSING this announcement WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED; however, EMAILS regarding any questions/concerns you may have will be accepted. ****5. Transportation and accommodations will NOT be provided. There is no fee to participate and parking is free at the site. Lunch will be at the individual's discretion. ****6. THIS is NOT a REQUEST for a PROPOSAL.
