Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD (a) NAICS: 238330 (b) Dollars: $14 million CLIN 0001: Purchase and installation of LANTIRN Raised Floor Tiles in Bldg 640 IAW attached statement of work. Refurbished floor tiles in like condition are an acceptable replacement. Quantity: 1 LOT Price(s) should be FOB Destination (Robins AFB GA 31098). In addition to price and delivery, quote should include your cage code, DUNS number, and taxpayer ID number. Government need date is 20 Mar 2009. Justification for Brand Name Only: The existing Tate® Access Floor system was installed around 1990 and has exceeded the life expectancy for this type of flooring. The floor tiles can be replaced without replacing the pedestal system underneath; therefore, the replacement access floor tiles must match existing flooring in style, color, design, and construction in order to fit properly on existing pedestals. Use of any other raised floor system would require a complete replacement of the entire floor system including the pedestals. Contractor needs to be an authorized Tate® Access Floor tile installer.
