Description
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Acquisitions Management Operations Branch (AMOB) has a requirement for Small Business contractors that can assist with its outreach and recruitment efforts to target and acquire a diverse workforce of skilled, health-related, scientific, and other professionals - especially underrepresented minority groups - needed to increase research efforts against infectious and immune-mediated diseases, immune tolerance, AIDS, bio-terrorism agents, emerging diseases, and vaccines studies. The Contractor will be required to create advertising campaigns and place recruitment advertisements as requested with various media outlets such as periodicals, newspapers, and websites for the purposes of promoting NIAID's outreach efforts; coordinate with NIAID outreach and recruitment efforts statewide and nationally by conducting in-depth research of various markets to determine advertising availability which extends to the target audience(s); develop strategies for advertisement placement targeted to specific audiences; and develop and/or suggest improved recruitment approaches and refined advertising strategies to meet hiring goals. The Contractor shall also be required to assist in the implementation, administration and monitoring of print advertising and placement activities including production, typesetting, layout, copy preparation; and design and production - when requested - of materials such as conference banner displays, pamphlets, brochures, folders, signage, and table cloths which will assist the NIAID in increasing traffic to recruitment booths at medical, scientific and other conferences and career fairs when necessary. On or before 08/01/09, The NIAID intends to award an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Task Order-type contract for a one-year period of performance. The contract will also contain the provisions at FAR 52-217.8 for the consideration of four additional option years of performance. Multiple awards are contemplated. This announcement is amended to note that: The anticipated contract award date has been amended. The solicitation posting date is also amended to note that: On or about February 24, 2009, the solicitation for this requirement will be available for download from the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. The response due date has has also been adjusted accordingly The solicitation will only be posted to the FBO website. No hardcopies of the solicitation will be distributed.
