Description
This is a notice of sole source intent by the Mobile District Corps of Engineers, to enter into a contract to acquire a direct digital control system for HVAC equipment. The system includes Direct Digital Controls (DDC) for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. This synopsis is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. It is for information only and is not a request for proposal (RFP) or announcement of a solicitation. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain information regarding the acquisition and installation of DDC hardware, software, and future upgrade alternatives, offering full (100%) compatibility and interoperability with existing system components at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Direct Digital Controls for HVAC equipment is required for Military Construction Projects at Hurlburt Field, Florida. DDC system components and software shall be fully (100%) compatible with the existing base wide for Hurlburt, which is Network 8000 software and controls, as manufactured by Barber Colman (T.A.C.). This system utilizes a proprietary data interface. Responses are required fourteen (14) days after publication of this notice. Responses should be addressed to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, ATTN: Shirley West, (251) 694-4414, CESAM CT-C, P.O. Box 2288, Mobile, AL 36628 0001. Firms interested in being considered shall provide manufacturer's name, product data and written statement of compatibility. The written statement of compatibility shall include necessary backup information and support documentation. A list of projects in which Barber Colman (T.A.C.-Signal) software and controls, as manufactured by Barber Colman (T.A.C.).has been successfully interfaced with shall be provided. List shall include exact location of project and a point of contact with phone numbers. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided. This is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, for Other Than Full & Open Competition. This notice is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
