- The solicitation for this project will be posted on or about March 9, 2009 with quotes due on April 9, 2009. 100% Set-Aside for HUBZone ROAD DECOMMISSIONING ON THE MALHEUR NATIONAL FOREST This solicitation will result in a unique arrangement that includes multiple-award, multiple year, indefinite-quantity contracts with a minimum obligation. Only those Contractors receiving an award under this solicitation will be given the opportunity to submit quotes on proposed task orders for the Malheur National Forest. This contract is to decommission specific roads to make them inaccessible by motorized travel and allow for drainage with minimal erosion. Contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, tools and supplies required to perform work in accordance with the drawings, specifications and anything defined on the individual task orders. Work shall consist of closing designated roads and restoring drainage facilities to the original hydrological function. The principal features of work to be performed include, but not limited to: 1.Ripping established roadbed; 2.Installing waterbars; 3.Installing earthen barriers 4.Removing culverts; 5.Seeding disturbed areas; 6.Rehabilitating water drainages after culvert removal. This project is located on the Malhuer National Forest. Contract maps showing project locations and access will be attached to the solicitation when posted.
