- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) supply contract to a contractor able to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items necessary to provide spare parts for the 312 inch runners on the Lower Columbia and Lower Snake Rivers. The work consists of the preparation of drawings and data; fabrication, NDT inspection and machining of all steel parts; fabrication of small link, and inner and outer blade bushings, machining to pre-Karon dimensions, shipping for coating and then delivering to Contractors shop for inspection; fabrication of bushings for internal hub repair; providing new fasteners, gaskets, round packing, etc. for hub repair; Contractor shall be responsible for shipment of all parts to John Day Project and Lower Monumental Project. Contract is to be awarded on or before 20 March 2009, and contracted spare parts, shall be delivered to the location specified, no later than 14 September 2009. Responses received after that date and time may not be considered. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only on Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI), and no CDs will be mailed. Please be aware that no electronic transmitted responses to this solicitation will be accepted. Responses to the RFQ should include the company name, street address, city, state, country, zip code or postal code, POC, POC telephone, and e-mail address. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, they must be approved and registered in the Central Contractor Registration, at website www.ccr.gov, before award can be made.
