Description
Colville National Forest, Republic Fire Cache Building Re-construction. The Republic Ranger District on the Colville National Forest located in North Eastern Washington State has a requirement for re-construction of a Fire Cache Building. The project will be located in Ferry County, Washington State. The Contractors shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman’s compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. The project consists of but not limited to partial demolition and partial reconstruction of approximately 4,000 square feet fire cache. This Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) era building has historical eligibility. It is the intent of this contract that the new construction seen from the exterior match/blend in with existing exterior finished. Work includes, but is not limited to, new walls and ceiling construction, stairway and leveling of existing concrete slab, electrical including new service, lights, heat units, ventilation, outlets, fire alarm, telecom wring, fiber optic feed from existing office. Plumbing includes new sewer line and manhole, fixtures and piping for two toilet/shower rooms and laundry facilities. Finishes include carpet, sealing concrete slab and painting. Exterior staining of the existing building will be done by the students from the Curlew Conservation Center. The Contractor will have 140 calendar days from the notice to proceed to complete the project. The project is estimated between $250,000 to $500,000. A bid guarantee will be required. The awarded Contractor will have to provide both payment and performance bonds. This project will be advertised as a written request for proposals. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about March 9, 2009. Proposals are estimated to be due April 8, 2009. The actual due date will be listed in the solicitation. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for HubZone small business concerns. NAICS code is 236220 size standard is $31 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
