- The Kandahar Regional Contracting Center, Kandahar Air Field Afghanistan hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source requirement to Sierra Pacific Innovations Corporation under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The requirement is to provide a versatile, compact, battery powered, light-weight, thermal imaging device capable of mounting to existing M4 Carbine Rifle rail systems and current helmet optics mounts for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Interested firms must submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses are due by 3:00 PM, 23 February 2009, via email.
