- SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES. Services are required for the construction of a Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS) to be located at the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) located on East Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio that is a specially designed facility of permanent concrete masonry unit type construction with standing seam roof, concrete floors and energy efficient mechanical and electrical equipment with emergency power generator back up. This is a facility that provides vehicle and equipment maintenance for the Ohio Army National Guard with 98,119 sq. ft. total, excluding 514 sq. ft. programmed for the Controlled Waste Handling Facility in a detached hazmat container. Project includes mobilization, site work, construction, site restoration, systems testing and training, and demobilization and commissioning. Site work generally consists of POV and customer parking, access aprons, loading dock/ramp access, drives, general storm water control/detention, utilities, sidewalks, and other miscellaneous site features as appropriate to this type of facility. Energy management control systems, high efficiency motors, lighting, and HVAC systems will be incorporated throughout the facilities. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more than $31.0 Million average annual revenue for the previous three years. Plans and specifications will be available for inspection without charge at 2811 W Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio in the Purchasing and Contracting Office or by contacting David Gilliam at 614-336-7414. Solicitation packages will be available approximately 4 March 2009, with the bid opening forty-five days later. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered.
