- The Edgewood Division of the US Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command Contracting Center announces its intention to purchase one iRobot PackBot 510 with Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Detection Kit in support of the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) Unmanned Ground Reconnaissance Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (CUGR ACTD)on a sole source basis from iRobot Corporation, 8 Crosby Drive, Bedford, MA 01730. iRobot is the only source for the commercial version of the CBRN CUGV, which is based on technology transferred under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between iRobot Corporation and Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC).
