Description
The following questions (Q) and answers (A) below are provided in order to further explain the specifications for this requirement. Please review the attached amendment for changes to the specifications. There is no change to the closing date for submission of quotes. A) Q: Single or dual radio configuration? A: Must be single radio configuration with military six pin connector B) Q: Which radios will the operators be connecting too? (PRC 148, PRC 152, PRC 117, VIC3 etc...) A: Must connect with PRC 148 and PRC 117 radio systems C) Q: Weapon mount PTT, chest mount PTT or Wireless PTT? A: Must be capable of VOX, Push-to-Talk (PTT) with weapon mount and chest mount D) Q: Strap mount or 3 lug molle mount? A: Must function with current US Army issued 3 Lug Molle Mount E) Q: Accessory cables (Nexus Break away?) A: Accessory cables must be break away capable F) Q: Extra ear plugs? A: Must include extra ear plugs G) Q: Detailed technical specifications (ANR minimums) A: Active Noise Reduction (ANR) Minimums: -Attack time < 0.1 milliseconds -Attenuation > 40 dB measured in accordance with ANSI S12.42 -Passive Attenuation in accordance with ANSI S12.6-1997 -Must be Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capable -Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) must be 29 minimum H) Q: Chargers, and rechargeable batteries? A: No Chargers and rechargeable batteries needed
