- Solicitation 8009-09 provides for exclusive use helicopter services, which are fully contractor operated and maintained, in support of the US Dept. of Interior, National Park Service. The helicopter will be based at Talkeetna, Alaska. Helicopter operations are usually in response to National Park Service Rescue activities at high altitudes between 10,000 and 20,000 feet pressure altitude. The exclusive use period will be April 17, 2009 - July 16, 2009 for 90 calendar days. The contract period will be one year from date of award with a government unilateral option for four additional years. The contract requires a helicopter with a seating requirement of one pilot and 4 passenger seats, payload of at least 500 pounds at Minus 20 degrees C, HOPE at 14,000 feet pressure altitude. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is Feb 18, 2009 with a projected closing date of March 12, 2009. It is a requirement that the successful awardee be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
