- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a Non-Personal services contract for a Radiologist to read x-ray examinations taken at the Federal Correctional Institution, Ray Brook, New York. Contract performance will consist of a one year base period, with a possibility for four one-year option periods, for a total of 60 months. The contract will normally consist of bi-weekly readings. The frequency could vary depending on volume. The amount of annual sessions are estimated at 1020. A session will be equivalent to an examination requested. (i.e., two views of a chest x-ray, or three views of an extremity). The contractor will be responsible for pick up and delivery of x-ray films at the contractors expense. The Government intends to make a single award for this requirement. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Requirements-type contract. Solicitations will be available O/A 02/20/2009 and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site "www.fedbizopps.gov". Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances and only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, shall be considered. This proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621512. ALL QUESTIONS PERTAINING TO THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING. VENDORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CCR DATABASE IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.
