- Firm-fixed price modification P00002 under contract W56HZV-08-C-0307 will be awarded to Grove U.S.L.L.C., Shady Grove, PA for 2 Field Service Representatives to troubleshoot U.S. Army owned crane maintenance issues and assist in resolution of problems. In addition, the Field Service Representatives will provide crane users operator and maintenance training. The original manufacturer of the cranes is Grove U.S.L.L.C. The Field Service Representatives will be stationed in Iraq. The period of performance is 12 months with an option for an additional 6 months with the performance period beginning on/about March 26, 2009. The total value is $1.5 million including the option. Negotiations will be conducted on a sole source basis with Grove U.S.L.L.C., Shady Grove, PA using Alpha contracting procedures. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source (Grove U.S.L.L.C.) under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
