- The 316th Contracting Squadron intends to award a firm fixed price contract to provide round-trip transportation for an estimated 100,000 spectators from Federal Express Field to Andrews AFB, Maryland and an estimated 50,000 spectators to and from the Branch Avenue Metro Station. Along with an estimated 20,000 Department of Defense (DOD) spectators on and around Andrews AFB, Maryland in support of the 2009 Joint Service Open House (JSOH) from 15 May 2009 through 17 May 2009; NAICS 485210 - Interurban and Rural Bus Transportation. This acquisition is unrestricted and will be open to both small and large businesses. There will be no public bid opening. The basis for award will be lowest priced technically acceptable. The solicitation will be issued under solicitation number FA4416-09-R-0008 on electronically on 18 February 2009 on Federal Business Opportunities webpage at http://www.fbo.gov. All prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration in order to eligible for award. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by completing solicitation FA4416-09-R-0008. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The purpose of the Government is to conduct a full and open competitive procurement utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) PART 12 and FAR 15 procedures.
