Description
Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents.The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN, is conducting a market survey for qualified SMALL BUSINESSES (including Veteran-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a, Woman-Owned, and Hub Zone) capable of providing the required pest control services outlined below. Applicable NAICS code is 561710 size standard $7 million. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than February 23rd, 2009. No telephone inquires will be accepted. All responses to this notice must indentify the socioeconomic category of the respondent (Veteran-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a, Woman-Owned, and Hub Zone), name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, examples of similar facilities where services have been performed, and must also include the company's DUNS number. Description of work to be performed includes: The Contractor shall provide all supplies, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, management and transportation to perform all Integrated Pest Management Services identified in the contract requirements at the Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. All work is to be performed in accordance with the guidelines established by Federal, State and local ordinances and with the Contractor's Procedures Manual and Quality Control Manual. Certified applicators are required in the performance of the work under the contract. The services include, but are not limited to: Inspections to determine which pest management measures are appropriate and required; recommending environmental sanitation practices that restrict or eliminate food, water or harborage for pests; selection and utilization of non-chemical control methods, which eliminate, exclude or repel pests (i.e., insect electrocution devices, traps, caulking, air screens, etc.); selection and use of the most environmentally sound pesticide(s) to affect control when chemical control methods are necessary; control of general structural pests (i.e., cockroaches, ants, carpet beetles, spiders, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, etc.); control of flying insect pests (i.e., housefly, stable fly, blowflies, etc.); control of predatory pests (i.e., lice, bedbugs, fleas, mites, ticks, bees, wasps, mosquitoes,); control of stored product pests (i.e. saw tooth grain beetle, red/confused flour beetles, trogoderma beetles, grain moths, etc.), consists of all required methods except fumigation, control of mice and rats (i.e., house mouse, field mouse, roof rat, Norway rat, etc.); control of other vertebrate pests (i.e., bats, gophers, moles, snakes, rabbits, etc.). Call-Back Requirements: The Contractor shall, within 12 hours after receipt of notification by the Contracting Officer or his/her representative, and at no additional charge to the Government, re-treat previously treated areas when inadequate control (as per specifications) was obtained. The Contractor shall, within 4 hours after receipt of notification by the Chief, Environmental Management Service or designee, and at no additional charge to the Government, perform IPM Services to correct the emergency condition.
