Description
Under the authority of FAR 13.5, the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA intends to award a Firm fixed Price Purchase Order to Brackett and Cochran Manufacturing, Inc. of Goose Creek, SC, to develop one prototype containerized (BEAR-ESPEK) units meeting the requirements and at reasonable cost. The BEAR-ESPEK will provide food capabilities to the Expeditionary Joint Services. The BEAR-ESPEK shall have the capability to provide a kitchen facility for preparing and feeding up to 550 Unitized Group Ration Heat and Serves (UGR H&S) and UGR-As meals. The BEAR-ESPEK shall have the capability to allow for an environmentally protected area utilization of the BEAR-ESPEK. The BEAR-ESPEK shall be fabricated in an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) TriCon Type II or Type III container (8x 6-5 x 8) to facilitate transport by sea, air, or land. All components shall be storable within the container. The BEAR-ESPEK shall be capable of being operated in climatic temperatures of 15 to 120 F and in rain and snow conditions. The BEAR-ESPEK will be set up, operated, maintained, and prepared for storage by MOS 92G (Food Service SP) personnel and MOS 63J (maintainers) All components must fit inside the container for transport. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
