- Description
- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a contract for the fabrication of six spillway stop logs at Foster Dam, located on the South Santiam River, in Lowell, Oregon. This work will include fabrication and delivery of six fracture critical stop logs to Foster Dam using only Contractor furnished equipment. Additional work will included painting and installing seals. All welding shall be done in accordance with AWS D1.5. The new stop logs shall be 47 long, 4 tall, and 4 deep. The new stoplogs weigh 23,000 pounds. The Fabrication shop performing the work must be Major Steel Bridge Certified with a Fracture Critical Endorsement to perform all weld repairs. All welding performed on the stoplogs shall meet AWS D1.5 requirements. The administrative point is Gregg Gulledge(503) 808-4634, email Gregg.C.Gulledge@usace.army.mil.
