Description
The government is seeking sources for the procurement of 100 non-automated steel targets with concrete stands for use in small arms and machine gun training at Marine Corps Base Quantico Virginia. This type target has proven extremely effective and durable for all types of long range small arms uses. 25 targets each are required on Ranges 8 and 8A; 50 targets are required on Range 15. The targets shall resemble the "E" silhouette used on pistol ranges. They shall be made of steel with a Brinnell hardness of AR500. Dimensions of the target are 20 inches wide by 40 inches high and will be in the shape of a man. The concrete stands shall be of sufficient weight and mass to hold the targets upright and withstand multiple bullet strikes without allowing the target to fall. The target and stand shall be of a two piece design and shall be assembled by means of a slot in the top of the concrete block to slide the steel silhouette into. Both the blocks and the silhouettes shall have lifting rings installed to facilitate movement and installation using a forklift. The award will be approximately $89,000 with an anticipated delivery date of 90 days after contract award. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Written response is requested within 15 days after publication of this notice. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
