- The USDA Forest Service intends to award a negotiated RFP multiple 5-year contract for annual statewide forest inventory data collection effort in Nebraska. The awarded contractor will provide inventory data to the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research Station's FIA (Forestry Inventory and Analysis) Unit. This data will be collected from predetermined forest inventory plots randomly located across the entire state of Nebraska. The protocols for this effort including the inventory plot design are outlined and described in the Forest Inventory and Analysis Nation Core Field Guide. This reference document serves as the instruction manual for this contract. The solicitation will be Base Year plus four option periods. The solicitation will be posted on www.fbo.gov o/a 2/28/2009. Those contractors not downloading solicitation from website shall call Lucille Pileggi at 610-557-4171 requesting a copy of solicitation. Once solicitation is issued all questions on the project are to be in writing and faxed to Contracting Officer at 610-557-4224 at least 2 weeks prior to the due date. Proposals will be due q/a 03/30/2009 at 2:00pm. If issue date slips due date will be 30 days from issue date. This is set-aside for small businesses.
