- Provide 3.5 FTEE Persionist for the VA Boston Healthcare System. Period of performance is one year from contract award. The Contractor shall provide one FTEE Lead Perfusionist and approximately 2.5 staff perfusion/autotransfusion staff to cover cases 24 hour per day, 7 days per week with a 45 minute response time. The perfusion/autotransfusion staff shall report to the operating room one hour before the case is scheduled for setup. The majority of elective cases are scheduled between 7:30am and 5:30pm local time. The perfusion/autotransfusion staff will be required to stay until all cases are complete and SICU/PACU sign-off is recieved. The contractor will be required to furnish the same individuals as Lead Perfusionist and perfusion/autotransfusion staff on a daily basis. Adminstrative duties will include developing and maintaining Quality Management activities in accordance with JCAHO guidelines. Contractor will be required to comply with the VA Boston Healthcare System's medical records documentation requirements and procedures. Candidates for this contract must be board certified or board eligible according to American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion standards. The Lead Perfusionist must be board certified.
