- Description
- The proposed action for award is for the procurement of one; completely packaged, medium voltage, transportable, 1500kW standby rated power plant. The power plant shall be new, provide utility grade protection, and be driven by a commercially available diesel engine which shall meet, or exceed, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emissions requirements for mobile off highway equipment for the year of its acceptance. It shall be fully self-contained within a standard sized Intermodal Container that conforms to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) intermodal container specifications. The power plant shall be designed to provide automatic and manual operations, local and remote monitoring, and local and remote control functions for the completely packaged power plant. It shall be capable of: Limited-time Running Power (Stand-by), Prime Power, and Continuous load operations. The power plant shall be capable of a single step load pick up of 100% nameplate kW and power factor with the engine-generator set at operating temperature. The contractor shall be capable of providing an extensive Operation and Maintenance data package, factory certified training for Government technicians, and the contractor shall provide a warranty for all equipment and components provided for the completely packaged power plant, so that there is one source for warranty and product service.
