- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The 1st Contracting Squadron is seeking information on potential firms qualified to provide quotes on a future solicitation. The proposed award will be a firm fixed-price for the purchase of one (1) transformer for Langley AFB, VA. The transformer needs to meet the following description: The transformer should be a 3750 KVa, oil filled transformer with 22000 Volt Delta input, 2400/4160 Wye output, with 16 up and 16 down automatic tap changer on low voltage, five position manual tap changer on low voltage, four hole spade high voltage bushings in full length terminal chamber on right side, four hole spade low voltage bushings in full length chamber on left side. The most critical dimension is the high voltage and low voltage chamber boxes outside distance, end-to-end must be 116 inches plus or minus 2 inches. The base of transformer must fit in area of 80 inches by 42 inches plus or minus 3 inches. The NAICS code for this procurement is 335311. Response is solicited only from small business firms certified by a Small Business Administration (SBA). Any information submitted is voluntary. Request interested firms submit (1) the COMPANY NAME, POC, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER and CAGE code of the firm; (2) a summary of their product (including all measurement specifications), (3) their SIZE STATUS. Responses to this notice will assist the Government in identifying potential sources and determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 p.m., Eastern time, on 12 Feb 09 to be considered. It is anticipated that a combined synopsis/solicitation will be issued o/a 12 Feb 09 and will be posted on the FedBizOpps.
