- Notice of contract action. (NOCA) This is not a solicitation of offers. Under Statutory Authority 41 USC 253 (c)(5) and 38 USC 1720 the Government anticipates entering into sole source acquisition negotiations for placement and services of eligible veterans into a community nursing home facilities located in Kent County, Rhode Island with TC Healthcare I, LLC doing business as Coventry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. This acquisition is for the Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) Service at VA Medical Center Providence, Rhode Island (VAMC Providence). The Basic Ordering Agreement is a base year with four (4) one-year options. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source in a specific area of responsibility. This action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-5 for commercial services in accordance with the format in Federal acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13 and 15 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice of contract action is not a request for competitive proposals. The referenced procurement identifier is VA-241-09-RP-0132 and is issued based upon this notice. The NAICS is 623110. The size standard is $13,500,000. The PSC is Q402. This notice is current through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-30. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. No solicitation document is available.
