- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a Contract for North Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging. This dredging project includes maintenance work at the Mouth of the Columbia River, select Columbia River bars from RM 3+00 to RM 105+00 and optional work at Coos Bay Entrance Channel, Oregon. Work will take place in both Oregon and Washington State. Disposal of maintenance material will be located at designated in-water flow lanes, ocean and near-shore disposal sites. A Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) shall be provided for all contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. For this project, the person that will act as the SSHO is required to have a minimum of 3 years safety work with similar projects and a 30 Hour OSHA construction safety class, or equivalent, taken within the last 3 years. The SSHO may have no other duties for this work except function as the on-site CQC Manager. This solicitation will be available from download on or about March 4, 2009 with bid opening 30 days after issue. This procurement is open to both small and large business concerns. The magnitude of construction for this solicitation is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
