- February 9, 2009 To: Prospective Offerors From: Federal Bureau of Investigation Subject: Request for Information (RFI) # E7533JV - JVC Recorders The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is issuing this RFI to identify small businesses capable of providing the following JVC recorders: Item# Part # Manufacturer Description 1 VR-N900U JVC 9 Channel Video Recorder 2 VR-N1600U JVC 16 Channel Video Recorder The FBI will not award a contract or pay for the information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The information received as a result of this request will serve as a market and technology survey to assist the FBI in its development strategy for procuring the items listed. CONTEMPLATED PROCUREMENT: The Government contemplates award of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a period of performance (POP) of one (1) twelve month base period and four (4), one (1) year, option periods. DISCLAIMER There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation as a result of this RFI. This is being issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.202(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. HOW TO RESPOND: The Government would like to know what firms can provide all the items for this contemplated requirement by identifying themselves and responding to this RFI. The Government requests the following information: •1) Company name and business size. •2) Address whether your company has a GSA Schedule and if they are capable of providing these items on schedule. If able to provide the services on schedule, what schedule and SIN. •3) Any other comments, concerns, and/or questions relating to the contemplated support services. Please Note: Interested parties shall not contact technical personnel about this request. Please submit your responses to this RFI # E7533JV via email to Lauren Caperton at Lauren.Caperton@IC.FBI.GOV. The due date for responses to RFI is on or before February 13, 2009 by 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time.
