Description
This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for providing maintenance and load tests on two (2) CAT Model 3412 diesel generators (KW Rating 50) at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY), Oahu, Hawaii. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, material, parts, equipment, technical support and other items necessary to provide the service. The work shall include but not be limited to the following: Provide oil change, coolant flush/refill, battery repair, and load bank test. Complete all other incidental work required to prepare the generator for load bank testing. Provide start-up checks (if required prior to load bank tests). Conduct load bank test for four (4) hours at full load. The work shall include any prep work, rental of equipment, and standby time. Properly transport and dispose flushed oil, coolant, and cleaners ! in accordance with all Federal, State, and local regulations. The Contractor shall make arrangements to be accompanied by Government escort at all times while on site. The Contractor shall be trained or authorized to perform the required service on the generators. Personnel shall be fully knowledgeable of all safety and environmental requirements associated with the work they perform. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811310 and the annual size standard is $7.0 million. The Contractor shall complete all work (including the report for the results of the load test) within 45 calendar days after award of the contract. Interested parties must submit the following information: (1) Full name and address of the firm and (2) A statement regarding your business size (e.g. 8(a), small business, large business, hubzone). This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Interested parties shall submit the requested information by 2/13/09.
