- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistic Office intends to procure items, on an other than full and open competition basis (under authority of Far 6.302-1), from the following: bioMerieux, Inc, 100 Rodolphe Street, Durham, NC. The government intends to award a sole source contract for Microbiology Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing that will be process through bioMerieux Vitek 2 and Vitek 2 Compact instruments. The Vitek 2 and Vitek 2 Compact provide both gram positive and gram negative identification and susceptibility testing as well as yeast identification and susceptibility testing and anaerobic identification testing. The intended contract will be for a base period of one (1) year with the government's option to extend the contract for four (4), one (1) year periods. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting their interest in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government will consider all responses received by 9:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time, Wednesday, February 25, 2009. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
