- This Notice is being published as a Request for Sources The USDA, ARS, MWA, Soybean/Maize Gemplasm Pathology Genetics Research Unit, Urbana, IL has a requirement/need for a digital microscope camera to be used with an existing microscope. The camera will be used for in accordance with the following Statement of Work and Salient Characteristics: USDA/ARS/MWA, Soybean/Maize Germplasm Pathology Genetics Research Unit, Urbana, IL has a requirement for a digital video camera for use with a stereo microscope. We are seeking small business sources for purchase of a digital microscope camera meeting or exceeding the following Statement of Work and Salient Characteristics: A digital camera is required to be used with an existing microscope for on-going soybean rust research. The salient characteristics are as follows: 1) Camera must be compatible with a Zeiss Stemi, 2000-CS microscope, already in use by the location 2) Produce at least a 2.0 megapixel image 3) Have a live display mode with a rate of at least 15 frames per second 4) The ability to take still frame shots and have real time video feed 5) The ability to view images on an attached monitor or computer screen along with a stand-alone unit with a screen to view and capture microscope images. 6) A stand-alone unit which can save images and allow for transfer of images to other software through a USB port. 7) Must be able to name saved images either prior or post transfer of images to other software to view and edit images on a PC.
