Description
The Department of Energy (DOE), Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) Office of Contracting, intends to issue a solicitation for records management services at DOE?s Denver Federal Center facility in Lakewood, Colorado. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE LIMITED TO ELIGIBLE 8(A) CONTRACTORS AS DEFINED IN FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION SUBPART 19.8. Similar services are currently being performed under contract number DE-AC09-05RF02110 with PM Tech Inc. of Arvada, CO. That contract will expire on March 31, 2009. The new contract will have a base period of one (1) year with four (4) additional single year option periods, for a total contract period of 5 years if all options are exercised. The services to be procured are described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) found at the below EMCBC web site. Additional information can be found at: www.emcbc.doe.gov/rocky_flats Interested parties believing they have all of the capabilities, including compliance with the Key Performance Parameters listed in the draft PWS, should plan to submit a formal proposal in response to the formal solicitation within the required timeframes published with the RFP when it is released. A formal Request For Proposal is expected to be released 15 days after this synopsis is released. This effort was previous published under DE-EI30-09OH00072 as a sources sought synopsis and request for information. The Department of Energy (DOE) EMCBC implemented the Strategic Integrated Procurement Enterprise System (STRIPES) on December 8, 2008. In order to do business with the EMCBC, all potential acquisition awardees must be registered with the FedConnect portal. Please register with FedConnect at your earliest convenience at https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/ In addition, it is recommended that all organizations that want to do business with the EMCBC register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov) as this facilitates registration on FedConnect. The system functionality of FedConnect requires that all organization be registered with the CCR, before registering with FedConnect. The EMCBC is promoting this approach, since it will make communications between the Department and organizations doing business with the EMCBC more integrated, faster, and auditable.
